Dear Members

First of all a reminder about our next meeting on Monday November 13th, when Bradley Newton is coming to speak to us about his plant hunting trip to China. Bradley was so informative when we visited Tremeer and he was the gardener there.  That is at the Parish Hall as usual at 7.30pm.

The December meeting will be on Monday 11th, when Becky Martin will organise an informal quiz and we will have mulled wine, spiced apple juice and lots of Christmas nibbles.

Our AGM is on Monday January 22nd 2018, when we hope that George Kestell will be our speaker. The committee will be up for re-election, so if you feel you would like to join us it is not a particularly arduous task. We only meet 3 – 4 times a year. Do put that date in your diaries as it’s not our usual second Monday of the month.

Lastly, we are affiliated to the Cornwall Garden Society and they are always looking for volunteers to help run their show at Boconnoc in April. Just a 2 hour shift, will give you free entry to the show. If you are interested please email the volunteer organiser Debbie Evans on:

Look forward to seeing you on the 13th

Dear Members

Our Christmas meeting is on Monday December 11th, when we are having an informal quiz with  Becky Martin setting the questions. This will also be our Christmas social get-together with mulled wine, spiced apple juice, mince pies etc. Do come and join in - you won't have to answer questions on your own and there will be a chance to have a chat as well.

We have asked Fiona Hammond to make a floral arrangement as one of the raffle prizes. So, if you can't make it for any reason, and would like to buy some tickets, please let me know. As we are buying the refreshments, wine and prizes, we are asking £1 admission for members on the night and £2 for non-members to cover some of the cost. Still a lot cheaper than a Christmas meal out.

We are moving into the 21st century, and have opened a Twitter account to help advertise the Club and it's events. so, should you or any family or friends use Twitter, please ask them to like, re-tweet and follow on  #CardinhamGarden.

Do come along to the quiz and bring a friend.

Best wishes
